Auto Care Association Announces Head of the Class Winners
Sept. 11, 2015—On Thursday, the Auto Care Association named the recipients of its 2015-2016 Head of the Class Awards. The awards, administered by the Auto Care Association Education Committee on behalf of the association, honor three auto care industry companies that continually invest in employee education and training.
For the 2015-2016 award, companies were awarded by size and not by company category, as in previous years.
The 2015 winners are:
- Small: Dynamic Automotive, Frederick, Md.
- Mid-sized: Automotive Supply Associates Inc./Sanel Auto Parts Co., Concord, N.H.
- Large company: Robert Bosch LLC: Automotive Aftermarket Division North America Division
The recipients were recognized at the Auto Care Association’s Fall Leadership Days in Austin, Texas on Thursday. Information on each winning program is available on the Auto Care Association website.
The winners were chosen based on the education and training practices of the company. Each of the winning companies exhibited a dedicated and continuing investment in enhancing the quality and level of learning and skill development for employees in their companies.
“The three companies winning this year’s award offer access to exemplary education and training programs for their employees,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. “They demonstrate that a company of any size can meet the knowledge, skills, career and personal needs of their most important asset, their staff. Each company will tell you that as a result of their investment in employee continuous learning, the short term results are increased teamwork, efficiency, customer service and sales, while at the same time fostering long term and lasting relationships for the future of their company.”
