NACE/CARS to Make Detroit Return in 2015

Sept. 15, 2014

Sept. 15, 2014—The Automotive Service Association (ASA) recently announced that its 2015 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference will return to Detroit for the second straight year.

The event will take place July 23–25, and will, once again, be held concurrently with a number of other association meetings for Industry Week.

The ASA board and management considered feedback from attendees, exhibitors, and other industry constituents before making the decision, and ASA release said.

“The response for Detroit was overwhelmingly positive,” ASA executive director Dan Risley said. “Many said this was the best event in recent memory. Attendees were pleased with the education and training, and numerous exhibitors made significant sales on the show floor. There were many requests for the exhibition to continue through Saturday, and we will incorporate that for 2015.”

Although I-CAR announced last week that it will not hold a conference during the week, the training organization will return with a “center stage” training area at the NACE/CARS show.

The Collision Industry Conference, National Auto Body Council, Collision Repair Education Foundation, Motor Equipment Remanufacturers Association, and the Canadian Collision Industry Forum will all hold meetings that week, beginning on July 20.

“On behalf of the ASA members, the board of directors, and our team, we are pleased to be working with I-CAR, CIC, CRES, CCIF, MERA, NABC, and others for the benefit of the automotive repair industry,” said Darrell Amberson, ASA chairman. “With our organizations working together we can provide the most current education and training in the market. We look forward to seeing everyone in Detroit the week of July 20, 2015.”
