The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) has appointed William Stage director of marketing and distribution.
Stage comes to I-CAR with more than 20 years of experience in the collision inter-industry. Stage most recently served as manager of network support services for Akzo Nobel Coatings, a position he held since 2007. From 1994 to 2006, Stage was vice president and director of field services for Mitchell International Inc. Stage also owns SSR Collision Center in Alpharetta, Ga.
Stage previously served as I-CAR’s director of field operations, marketing and product development from 1990-1994. Since 2006, he has served on I-CAR’s international board of directors, most recently as secretary. He also served as chairman of the I-CAR international advisory committee, which is comprised of volunteers who provide an advisory role to the organization.
“Bill brings a broad collision inter-industry marketing and distribution experience to the I-CAR organization,” John Edelen, president and CEO of I-CAR, said in a statement. “This experience, both inside and outside the I-CAR organization, will be of particular value as I-CAR implements the recently announced professional development matrix to better improve the value of I-CAR training.”
Stage has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and he received an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.
