Service King Delivers $112K Check to Breast Cancer Foundation
Nov. 12, 2014—Service King executives delivered a check for $112,000 to representatives for the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Tuesday, capping off a 31-day campaign in which Service King employees from across the country raised $56,000. The company matched that figure to reach the $112,000 total.
Service King CEO Chris Abraham and Vice President of Marketing and Facilities Development Gregg Murry were on site for the presentation. Joining them was National Breast Cancer Foundation Founder and CEO Janelle Hail.
“The response from our teammates was truly inspirational,” Abraham said in a release. “Breast cancer touches so many of us in so many ways. We are honored to come together as a family and raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and its mission to raise awareness and find a cure.”
Throughout the campaign Service King teammates wore pink wrist bands and “Eliminate Breast Cancer” t-shirts. The company also honored its own teammates who had been personally affected by breast cancer by telling their stories on its official blog, The Service Advisor. The series was entitled “Faces of Breast Cancer.”
“Service King’s dedication and support of our mission to help women now has truly been inspiring,” Hail said in a release. “The funds raised by Service King will help us provide thousands of free early detection services for women across all 50 states.”
