Gerber Acquires North Carolina Repair Shop

July 20, 2016—The Boyd Group Inc. announced Tuesday that it has acquired a collision repair shop in Statesville, N.C., about 40 miles north of Charlotte.

The shop previously operated as Black’s Collision Repair and served a six-brand dealership group. It will now operate as a Gerber Collision & Glass

"We are very pleased to add this center which has served Statesville and the surrounding community for over 40 years," said Tim O'Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "It increases our presence in the Charlotte region and is also in close proximity to our centers in the Winston-Salem area. With 28 locations, we have established a statewide presence in North Carolina and grown to become a leading provider of collision repair services."
