Oct. 28, 2010

October 28, 2010—CARSTAR will honor U.S. veterans during National Military Month and Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11.

More than 60 CARSTAR locations across the country will participate in Veteran’s Day parades and host celebrations of local veterans, according to a CARSTAR press release_notes. CARSTAR will also partner with the VFW Foundation on its “Return the Favor” campaign, which aims to boost morale and support veterans and their families.

Participants in “Return the Favor” can make a $5 donation at participating CARSTAR shops and have their name featured in the shop as a contributor. The donations will be split between the national and local VFWs.

“As a veteran and long time supporter of our military, I’m proud that we are embarking on the second year of a program at our facilities to help the heroes who serve our country and their families,” said Dick Cross, chairman and CEO of CARSTAR, who served for four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
