June 27, 2013—Axalta Coating Systems recently named Steve Markevich as senior vice president of the company and president of its OEM coatings segment.
Markevich joins Axalta from global engineering firm GKN, where he most recently served as CEO of GKN Driveline in the United Kingdom.
"Steve's in-depth knowledge of the global automotive industry will enable us to leverage our existing 35 manufacturing and operations centers, and build on and align, our extensive OEM team around the world." said Charles Shaver, CEO of Axalta.
Shaver said the hire was in line with Axalta’s plan to grow in the Asian, Eastern European and Latin American markets.
