SCRS to host industry meeting at SEMA

Oct. 23, 2012—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) will host an after-hours meeting Oct. 30 following exhibit hours at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The SCRS said the meeting is meant to provide attendees with insight into the organization’s current and future initiatives through updates from its chairman, executive director and committee members.

The meeting will also include special presentations, according to the SCRS. Toby Chess, member of the SCRS’ Education Committee, will address the safety significance of proper glass installations. Chess will highlight correct windshield bonding procedures, new materials available in the market, and necessary equipment and training to maintain the structural nature of glass installations.

In addition, the SCRS said Rick Leos, collision business development consultant for Toyota Motor Sales, will present advancements the auto manufacturer is developing to provide shops with comprehensive estimate data in order to prepare repair blueprints with OEM recommended procedures.

The meeting, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the SEMA Show’s Collision Repair and Refinish Stage in the North Hall, is open to all members of the collision repair industry for free.

The 2012 SEMA Show is scheduled for Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.
