PartsTrader adds industry veterans to management team

June 25, 2012

June 25, 2012—PartsTrader, a Web-based parts sourcing, quoting and ordering platform for the collision repair industry, hired three industry professionals to lead the company's efforts implementing the PartsTrader system within the collision repair and parts markets.

Chicago-based PartsTrader said it hired Dale Sailer as vice president of business development, David Merrell as national account director and Troy Holm as field relations manager.

Prior to joining PartsTrader, Sailer served as CEO of DKI Holdings, a diversified services company focused on the disaster restoration contracting market. Sailer lead the expansion of DKI into the insurance direct repair market, and grew DKI’s annual revenue from $360 million to $1.1 billion during his 10 years with the company, PartsTrader said.

PartsTrader said Sailer has extensive experience in the collision repair industry. He worked at CCC Information Services Inc. from 1990 through 1999. With CCC, Sailer was responsible for the rollout of EZNet, CCC's proprietary network that electronically connects insurers and repair facilities, was an original member of the CCC Autobody Services management team, and served on CCC’s cross industry team that developed the first I-CAR training class for collision repair facility front office employees.

"I'm thrilled to be part of the PartsTrader team,” Sailer said. "Having devoted most of the last 20 years of my career to developing and implementing business models that ensure the ability of the independent service provider to remain competitive, and in fact prosper, in a rapidly changing, increasingly challenging business environment, I am excited that the company's core values are so similar to my own. PartsTrader's platform ensures in the fairest way possible that the businesses with the most efficient and effective business practices will thrive."

As national account director, David Merrell will be responsible for PartsTrader’s relationships with regional and national collision repair organizations and parts suppliers.

Merrell most recently served as vice president of sales and service for Columbus, Ohio-based CSi Complete. He was a member of CSi Complete’s executive management team, and directly managed the company’s customer accounts in the collision repair supply chain, PartsTrader said. Merrell also represented CSi Complete with the Collision Industry Conference (CIC), Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS), Automotive Services Association (ASA) and SEMA.

Merrell is currently director-at-large for the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) board of directors, and co-chair of the organization's fundraising committee.

As PartsTrader’s field relations manager, Troy Holm will be responsible for developing relationships with repair facilities and suppliers, and ensure that their experience with the PartsTrader platform delivers benefits to their businesses.

Holm most recently served as vice president of sales for Hudson, Iowa-based Collision Services Inc., PartsTrader said.

"We are delighted that professionals of Dale's, David's and Troy's caliber are joining our rapidly growing team,” said Rob Cooper, CEO of PartsTrader. "Their in-depth knowledge of this market, their reputations for integrity and fairness, and their relationships with many of the industry's key players will more easily facilitate the adoption of our technology in the U.S. collision repair market."
