CARSTAR names national award winners

September 29, 2010—CARSTAR named its winners for national awards at the annual conference in Hot Springs, Va. earlier this month.

CARSTAR’s top Financial Focus Groups were:
• For Sales: CARSTAR Yorkville in Yorkville, Ill., and owner Dean Fisher; Jordan Road CARSTAR Auto Body in Denver, Colo., and owners Gary Boesel and Kelly Nelson; Affordable CARSTAR II of Franklin, Wis., and owner Greg Robb; and Kurt's CARSTAR of Maryville, Ill., and owner Kurt Muller;
• For Gross Profit: CARSTAR Yorkville in Yorkville, Ill. and owner Dean Fisher; Jordan Road CARSTAR Auto Body in Denver, Colo., and owners Gary Boesel and Kelly Nelson; Affordable CARSTAR II of Franklin, Wis., and owner Greg Robb; and Kurt's CARSTAR of Maryville, Ill., and owner Kurt Muller;
• The EBIDTA: Dynamic CARSTAR of Columbiana, Ohio, and owner Nick George; Jordan Road CARSTAR Auto Body in Denver, Colo., and owners Gary Boesel and Kelly Nelson; Bob Thomas CARSTAR of Portland, Ore., and owner Jeff Smith; and Jungerman CARSTAR of St. Peters, Mo., and owner Kerry Woodson

CARSTAR’s top CSI performing shops were:
• For sales under $750,000: Cusimano's CARSTAR of Falconer, NY, and owner John Cusimano who also won in 2009.
• For sales of $750,000 to $1.25 million: C & H CARSTAR in Fairborn, Ohio, and owner Ed Collins.
• The honoree with sales of $1.25 million to $2 million: Blake's CARSTAR in LaPorte, Ind., and owner Scott Blake who also won 2009.
• For sales of more than $2 million: Randy & Bob's CARSTAR in Chicora, Pa., and general manager Randy Miller who also won in 2009.
• For overall outstanding CSI: Blake's CARSTAR, and owner Scott Blake. It is the third year in a row that Blake and his team earned the honor.

CARSTAR’s top marketing shops were:
• Marketing manager of the year: Steve Rigsby of Colorado CARSTAR Business Group;
• Emerging marketing store of the year: Sidney Body CARSTAR in Sidney, Ohio;
• Business group of the year: St. Louis Business Group
• Extraordinary individual contribution to Make-A-Wish Foundation: Kurt's CARSTAR Collision Center in the St. Louis, Mo.;
• Extraordinary business group contribution to Make-A-Wish Foundation: St. Louis Business Group;
• Soaps It Up outstanding contribution: Jordan Road CARSTAR in Centennial, Colo.
