Feb. 23, 2010--INRIX release_notesd its 3rd annual national traffic scorecard, which revealed Los Angeles as the city with the most traffic congestion in the United States.
The report revealed a rise in traffic congestion and commute travel times in 2009, with increases in 58 of the top 100 most populated cities in the United States. Las Vegas, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. showed more than 10 percent increases in traffic congestion from the prior year.
The top 10 most congested U.S. cities are as follows:
1. Los Angeles
2. New York
3. Chicago
4. Washington, D.C.
5. Dallas
6. Houston
7. San Francisco
8. Boston
9. Seattle
10. Philadelphia
The top 10 cities account for half of the nation’s traffic congestion, according to the report.
