While OEM certifications require a significant investment of both time and money, survey findings suggest they’re worth it.

Investing in OEM certifications can cost body shops significant sums—numbers that can reach six figures by the time the dust settles. Yet, shops are often left with sterling statistics when they invest in certifications, too. According to findings from the 2019 FenderBender Industry Survey, shops that invest in at least one OEM certification tend to have stellar CSI scores. Here’s an extensive comparison, pictured above, of shops that have no OEM certifications, those that have one to their credit, along with those that have several such designations.
