SCRS Receives Strong Feedback on SEMA Show

Nov. 14, 2013

Nov. 13, 2014—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) reported Wednesday that a number of exhibitors and attendees of last week’s 2013 SEMA Show consider this year’s Collision Repair & Refinish segment to be the strongest in the show’s history.

In an interview with FenderBender, Peter MacGillivray, vice president of communications and events for SEMA, said that the collision segment is the show’s fastest growing section.

“I am amazed at the level of growth that the Collision Repair & Refinish section of the show has experienced in a few short years,”  Frank Terlep, CEO of Summit Software, told SCRS according to the release_notes . "What's also very encouraging is the steady increase in number of collision players coming through. Every year, we meet more and more buyers and professionals directly related to the business of collision repair, and in terms of quality leads, this was our best year yet."

Tim Morgan, managing director of Spanesi Americas, also expressed his satisfaction of the show to SCRS. Morgan delivered a presentation as part of SCRS’s Repairer Driven Education (RDE) series at the show.

"I am completely blown away by how SCRS has helped bring an already fantastic event to the next level," Morgan said, referring to the RDE series. "From a training standpoint alone, they've raised the bar immensely. As long as SCRS is a part of SEMA, we will be, too."

A number of other exhibitors, including NAPA Paint & Supply, PPG Refinish and The Hertz Corporation, also commented to SCRS about the level of quality interaction at this year’s show, the release stated.
