Dec. 19, 2012—Audatex North America Inc. this week introduced a new iPhone application for its repair-tracking platform AutoWatch.
Audatex’s AutoWatch allows vehicle owners to view the progress of their repairs online. Repairers can upload digital vehicle photos and repair status information through the system in order to keep customers up to date during the repair process. Customers are able to receive the status updates via email, text messages or AutoWatch’s online portal, and share the information on social media platforms.
With the new iPhone app, shops can upload repair status information remotely through their iPhone. Audatex said the app is available for free to all AutoWatch users through iTunes and the iPhone App Store.
The AutoWatch iPhone app follows the introduction of the same app for Android devices, which Audatex launched last July.
“With both Android and iPhone apps now available for AutoWatch, we’re covering every corner of the smartphone market in order to give shops all the options they need to connect more effectively with vehicle owners,” said Gordon Henderson, vice president of collision repair services for Audatex. “Better communication not only leads to an improved claim experience, but also translates into more referral business as well as stronger [direct repair] relationships. The mobile apps are taking off as AutoWatch has been proven to reduce incoming customer phone calls, compress cycle times and, ultimately, increase customer satisfaction.”
