May 8, 2012—DuPont Protection Technologies recently launched its second annual DuPont Tyvek Dirty Work Photo Contest.
DuPont said the Dirty Work Photo Contest is meant to showcase how industrial workers use the company’s Tyvek garments, which protect against exposure to hazardous dry and liquid particles, in their daily jobs.
“Every day, millions of workers throughout North America get themselves dirty as they work on some of industry’s messiest jobs, particularly in oil and gas, environment and automotive,” said Dave Kee, North America marketing manager of industrial protective apparel for DuPont Protection Technologies. “This is our tribute to the many people who use DuPont Tyvek protective apparel to keep safe and clean while doing their jobs.”
Through the contest, participants are able to submit original photos of themselves wearing a DuPont Tyvek garment after completing their dirty work. DuPont said the photo submissions will be judged on a wide range of criteria, including use of the garment, creativity, safety and how well the garment is portrayed in the photo. Three winners will be selected to receive various prizes.
Contest photo submissions will be accepted through Sept. 30. Participation is open to all industrial workers throughout North America. To register for the contest online, visit tyvekphotocontest.dupont.com.
