Introducing Autel’s Integrated Collision ADAS Solution

As vehicles become more complex, collision repairers must identify affected systems, verify calibration prerequisites, perform required procedures and document the work.
Autel connects these operations through its diagnostic tablets, CalPro ADAS identification, IA900 and IA1000 alignment and calibration systems, Remote Expert and Guided ADAS services, Autel Cloud and CCC ONE integration.
The concept is straightforward: Identify. Diagnose. Align. Calibrate. Report.
Identify: Start in the Parking Lot
The best time to identify ADAS requirements is at the beginning of the repair.
The CalPro app can be downloaded directly onto compatible Autel diagnostic tablets, putting ADAS identification and OEM repair information in the estimator’s or technician’s hands during initial vehicle evaluation.
The MaxiSYS MS906 MAX is particularly well suited as a collision shop’s go-to lot tablet. Its portable platform provides all-systems diagnostics, pre- and post-scanning, bidirectional controls, coding, adaptations and service functions.
With CalPro on the tablet, shops can identify ADAS systems and potential calibration requirements before repairs begin. CalPro combines vehicle identification with OEM repair information through ALLDATA, helping shops build a more complete repair plan and reduce late-stage surprises.
A DTC alone doesn’t determine whether calibration is required, and the absence of a warning light doesn’t mean calibration isn’t necessary. Decisions must be based on the vehicle, repairs performed and applicable OEM procedures.
Diagnose: Understand the Vehicle
The MS906 MAX provides a practical foundation for intake and everyday collision diagnostics, while Autel’s S2 generation of MaxiSYS tablets — including the Ultra S2, MS919 S2 and MS909 S2 — provides advanced diagnostic capabilities for increasingly sophisticated vehicles.
A pre-scan establishes the vehicle’s electronic condition and identifies faults requiring investigation. Information gathered at intake then becomes the starting point for the diagnostic, alignment and calibration operations that follow.
Align: Make Sure the Vehicle Is Ready
Before ADAS calibration, the shop needs to know whether the vehicle is mechanically and geometrically ready.
Autel’s IA900 and IA1000 combine wheel alignment and ADAS calibration within the same workflow. A shop can check alignment, correct a vehicle outside specification and proceed to calibration without moving it through disconnected processes.
The IA900 integrates four-wheel alignment and ADAS calibration using optical positioning technology to streamline setup. For high-volume collision centers and MSOs, the IA1000 adds robotic positioning designed to improve throughput and repeatability.
Successful calibration begins with a vehicle that meets OEM prerequisites. Alignment, ride height, tire condition and other factors can affect the process.
Calibrate: Perform What the Repair Requires
Once repairs are completed and prerequisites verified, technicians can perform the static or dynamic calibrations required for that vehicle and repair.
Autel’s ADAS systems support calibration procedures for cameras, radar, lidar and other driver-assistance technologies. Vehicle-specific software guides technicians through the procedure, while optical positioning technology helps streamline frame and target setup.
The objective isn’t to calibrate simply because an ADAS system is present. It is to identify the systems, consult OEM information, understand the repairs performed and complete the calibrations those procedures require.
Extend Capability with Remote Expert
Even a well-equipped collision center will encounter vehicles requiring OE tools, software or procedures beyond currently available aftermarket capabilities. Autel Remote Expert provides another path for completing that work while keeping the vehicle in the shop.
Collision technicians can connect with experienced specialists for OEM post-scans, module programming and other procedures requiring OE software and tooling.
Remote Expert can also support ADAS calibrations on newly released vehicles for which Autel may not yet have aftermarket calibration coverage. Through Guided ADAS, shops can use Autel calibration equipment while a Remote Expert technician accesses the necessary OE software and procedures.
Whether the repair requires an OEM post-scan, replacement-module programming or an ADAS calibration on a newly introduced vehicle, Remote Expert helps bridge the gap between aftermarket and OE-level service.
Report: Close the Loop with CCC ONE
Autel Cloud connects supported diagnostic reporting with CCC ONE, allowing reports to be uploaded into the repair file and reducing manual administration.
That closes the loop: identify requirements with CalPro; diagnose with an Autel tablet; verify and correct alignment; perform required calibrations with the IA900 or IA1000; use Remote Expert when OE-level capability is needed; and bring documentation into CCC ONE to support the repair file, insurer review and billing.
The Autel Advantage
The Autel advantage goes beyond integration. It is about making every step of the collision workflow more accurate and efficient — and then making those steps work seamlessly together. That’s why Autel developed Remote Expert, integrated with CCC ONE and built a relationship with CalPro: to bring the right technologies, expertise and partners together around the needs of the collision shop.
The result is a collision workflow where every step works better — and every step works better together.
