July 10, 2013— CCC Information Services announced Wednesday the availability of CCC ONE Mobile Appraiser, a mobile application to help insurance staff appraisers capture pertinent damage information right at the vehicle.
“Appraisers are increasingly looking to capture as much data as possible at the vehicle to help improve the speed and efficiency of the information-gathering process and their interactions with the consumer,” said Barrett Callaghan, general manager and senior vice president of the Insurance Services Group for CCC.
The new app, available for the iPhone, enables field staff to use their phone to scan the vehicle’s VIN and capture photos, which then sync wirelessly to CCC ONE Estimating, without the use of a separate digital camera.
The app allows field staff to support customers’ changing workflows by making the information available anytime, anywhere, according to Callaghan.
