May 23, 2018—PPG received the 2018 CIO 100 Award for its paint software platform.
The award was for the PAINTMANAGER XI software platform, which has a workflow to streamline the color retrieval process and make it faster for refinish paint technicians to mix the right color.
The system's color database is updated daily via the internet.
When fully developed, the software will be installed at more than 70,000 customer locations globally.
PPG will be recognized at the CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony on August 15 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
