Nov. 20, 2018—A venerable auto repair shop in Monroe, Mich., is adding 4,600-square-feet to its facility. The expansion has been in the works for several years and is expected to be completed in early 2019, said owner and president Paul Van Aken in an interview with The Monroe News.
Van Aken said the additional space will offer more room for parts as well as repair planning. With the new space, Van Aken plans to hire an additional employee who will help with repair planning. Currently, Paul’s Quality Collision employs 15 people, two of which are part-time.
Some of the current space will be repurposed. A break room, which currently has space for about 12, will be expanded to double the capacity. A new restroom will be installed. A new office space will also be created. Additionally, there will be a dedicated area for aluminum repairs.
