March 29, 2019—The National Auto Body Council's Recycled Rides program, Esurance, Duane's Body Shop and Fabian's Collision Center partnered to donate vehicles.

NABC and Esurance, along with the repair partners, will present two vehicles to individuals impacted by the northern California wildfire that burned through Paradise, Calif.

Fabian's Collision Center is located in Stockton, Calif., and Duane's Body Shop is located in Sacramento, Calif.

The recipients include:

  • Paradise Police Department officer Matthew Gates, who worked tirelessly through the wildfires, will receive a 2016 Subaru Impreza that was repaired at Duane's Body Shop in Sacramento.  Gates, along with his wife and two young sons, lost their home and car in the wildfires, leaving him with no reliable transportation for his family.
  • Paradise resident Billy Pickett, who lost everything in the fire, will receive a 2014 Nissan Rogue that was repaired at Fabian's Collision Center in Stockton.  A new reliable vehicle will allow Pickett to find a new job and get back on his feet.
