April 19, 2019—GEICO’s Center of Excellence took home the Exceptional Employer Award at the 20th Annual Mira Awards in Indiana.
A panel of judges—including CEOs, CTOs and start-up founders who reviewed more than 100 nominations to select a winner in 14 different categories—lauded GEICO for its efforts in all of those areas and for its economic investment in central Indiana and the area’s talented workforce.
An innovation hub focused on developing software that will transform the GEICO customer experience, the Center of Excellence opened less than a year ago with a hiring blitz that saw 167 new associates brought onboard in less than 200 days.
Hiring continues at a steady pace, with a goal to add an additional 400 associates in the next few years.
