A Tesla Model 3 recently caught fire after crashing into a parked tow truck in Moscow.

Aug. 12, 2019—A Tesla Model 3 car caught fire after crashing into a parked tow truck in Moscow, according to a report by ReutersThe driver said he had failed to see the vehicle with which he collided.

The driver also said that he was in driver-assistance mode and was still holding the steering wheel.

Two small explosions occurred within a few seconds of each other and the metal frame of the vehicle was all that remained after the fire, TV footage showed.

The driver, a financial market expert and the head of Arikapital investment company, said he broke his leg in the incident, while his two children suffered only bruises. They all escaped from the vehicle.
