Aug. 13, 2019—Bosch is developing new technology that will add glasses-free 3-D imaging to future versions of its in-car digital display technology, reported TechCrunch.

These 3-D displays use passive 3-D tech, which means drivers won’t need to wear glasses to see the effect, and it also skips eye tracking. Going glasses-free is needed for a driver to be focused on the road and be able to see information at a glance.

In theory, 3-D displays could also help make crucial alerts pop out and parking cameras can present even more accurate 3-D views to drivers.
