Nov. 18, 2019—Nissan is recalling approximately 400,000 vehicles due to concerns that a braking system defect could lead to a car fire. The brake fluid leak could potentially lead to a fire, according to a report by Reuters.
If the warning to drivers is ignored, the leak could lead to an electrical short in the actuator circuit.
The recall includes Maxima sedans from 2016-18, Infiniti QX60 luxury crossovers from 2017-19, Murano SUVs from 2015-18 and Pathfinder SUVs from 2017-19.
Improper inspections of brakes, steering wheels, speed measurements and vehicle stability had also caused the company to issue a recall of several thousand vehicles in Japan late last year.
