Nov. 3, 2017
The paint company announced a new line of paints that's the result of its partnership with industry veteran Dave Kindig.

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 3, 2017—AkzoNobel this week paired with hot rod builder Dave Kindig to introduce Modern Classikk, a new custom line of automotive paints, at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The new line of paints includes names such as Black Hole Black, Teal Later, and Veruca Violet, along with 23 other new colors, and will be available in Jan. 2018.

Over the last year, Kindig worked closely with AkzoNobel to develop the new paint line. The company said it chose the industry veteran to aid the product-line design due to his creative vision.

“Modern Classikk includes an extra dimension of depth that helps people see different shades from different angles,” Kindig said.
