May 23, 2019—Mitchell has announced the launch of the GM collision repair shop locator at genuinegmparts.com.
Last year, GM and Mitchell announced the launch of the enrollment portal for the GM Collision Repair Network, enabling collision repair facilities to apply to participate in the network.
To date, about 1,600 collision repair facilities have started the process of enrollment, says Jack Rozint, Mitchell's vice president of sales and service. About 200 collision repair shops will show up on the map.
According to Rozint, GM has more vehicles on the road than any other manufacturer and the program is open to all types of collision repair shops including independents, MSOs and dealership body shops as long as they meet the network's requirements.
The shop locator is at genuinegparts.com and shops that are looking to join the program can go to the same website. Shop operators can click on the Collision Repair tab on the website, then scroll to the right where there is a link to the Collision Repair Network. On that page, shops can find the enrollment requirements and the option to enroll.
