During the gathering, experts in auto physical damage, auto casualty, and workers compensation insurance claims, Mitchell's president and CEO Alex Sun announced the winners of the third annual Mitchell mPower Awards, which recognize companies that provide a stellar customer experience through business innovation.
According to a press release, the program is designed to highlight and celebrate customers who deliver better outcomes through innovative technology or business transformations. This year, Westfield and The Black Car Fund were honored.
Westfield has grown into an accomplished property and casualty carrier and was honored by J.D. Power in 2019 for being number one in customer satisfaction among auto insurers in the north central region. The Black Car Fund, meanwhile, was honored for its efforts in delivering benefits to independent workers; Also, in recent years the Black Car Fund has become an advocate for legislation that protects ride-sharing service drivers of companies such as Uber and Lyft.
