Jon Delgado, chief technology officer of Repairify, has been named SEMA’s 2023 Gen-III Innovator of the Year, according to a press release.

The award is given to those aged 40 or younger who have made great contributions to innovative ideas within the areas of automotive aftermarket opportunities, advancement, best business practices, technology, or trends.

Delgado spearheaded the engineering of the patented asTech Rules Engine, a tool that utilizes empirical data to provide users with an accurate, cost-effective diagnostic scan option specific to the vehicle. He has also contributed to ADAS calibration identifications with his invention adasThink solution.

Additionally, Delgado has helped improve asTech’s OEM-Compatible scans with the introduction of asTech Insights: a product that uses an artificial intelligence system to provide OEM-Compatible scan results and automatically create custom collision repair recommendations specific to the vehicle and DTC codes. The model was trained on over 210 million diagnosed trouble codes.

Delgado was recognized yesterday at the SEMA Show Industry Awards Banquet alongside SEMA’s Person of the Year and Content Creator of the Year.
