The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) will be holding a webinar on May 18 discussing future challenges the industry could face, according to a press release.

Titled “The Future of Automotive Technologies,” Repairify Vice President of Training & Organizational Development Chris Chesney will go over how the industry can best respond to government goals, the impact of the global economy and new technology in store for the industry.

“There is no doubt that over the last 10 years, our industry has seen more change that [sic] any time in history,” Chesney stated, via the press release. “As always, we’ve adapted by investing in knowledge, skills, people and equipment, which has positioned many of us in an advantageous position in our markets.”

Chesney is a self-taught technician with more than 50 years of experience who has held several different roles in the industry, ranging from master technician, to shop owner, to independent training consultant. He led the Carquest Technical Institute for 22 years and is a member of organizations such as the Auto Care Association’s Emerging Technology Council ADAS Working Group and the ASE Training Managers’ Council.

A Q&A session will follow the webinar. Those in any industry segment are encouraged to attend.
