The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has revealed the candidates chosen for its annual board election, Repairer Driven News reports.
There are four individuals running to fill the three vacant seats: AkzoNobel Business Services Consultant Tony Adams, Pacific BMW Collision Center Body Shop Manager Andrew Batenhorst, DCR Systems President and CEO Michael Giarrizzo and Andrew Suggs of ABS Equipment Co..
The election will be held on the evening of April 11 at the Omni Richmond in Virginia. Active SCRS members are invited to attend.
SCRS member businesses must designate a representative to participate in the election. If they wish to change their representative, they must do so by March 31.
Adams is an incumbent with 33 years of experience working in shops before coming to “the manufacturer side of the industry” in August 2021.
Batenhorst said that he is passionate about utilizing processes that “minimize waste and increase efficiency,” and has been able to do so at levels “that other operators have struggled to attain.”
Suggs was the operator of shops that “were among the top 1% of most OEM-certified shops in the country,” he said. When he retired from operating his stores, he had “five shops in four locations with 32 OEM certifications.”
Giarrizzo said that he has spent his entire career in this industry and has experience with organizations of different sizes, from a family business to “early industry consolidations” to now currently operating his own MSO.
