Session to Improve Shop-Insurer Relationships

ST. PAUL, MINN., April 7, 2015—Regardless of whether a shop is involved in direct repair programs, maintaining strong relationships with insurance companies is essential for success. Shop leaders interested in learning how to improve and grow their insurer connections will have an opportunity to do so at the FenderBender Management Conference in May.

Jim Keller, president of 1Collision Network, will lead “Develop More Profitable Insurance Relationships,” a discussion with current and former representatives from major insurance companies, at the conference. Keller oversees a network of independent and dealer shops in the Midwest, supporting the performance, marketing, and insurance relationship building areas of their businesses. Keller’s session will focus on insurer expectations in the auto physical damage claims process, what shops can do to best position themselves to earn more insurance referrals, performance indicators and the role they play in claims volume, the impact of certifications and training, and what the future looks like for the auto physical damage process.   

Joining Keller will be former MetLife Auto & Home Claim Technical Development Administrator Doug Irish, founder of AccuracyDriven4, a third-party independent auditing company that performs collision repair audits for in-process collision repair work. Irish spent 20 years in various positions with MetLife before starting AccuracyDriven4 in 2014.

Chris Andreoli, corporate claims repair network process director for Progressive Insurance, will also be involved in the session. Andreoli has worked in the auto claims physical damage industry for 22 years.

“This session will give conference attendees a valuable opportunity to hear straight from two insurance industry veterans what makes a shop-insurer relationship successful,” said FenderBender editor Jake Weyer. “Attendees will also be able to ask questions through Jim, engaging Chris and Doug in a dialogue covering the most relevant challenges for shops today.”
