Blueprint for SuccessGrowth was starting to adversely affect efficiency at this shop, until it turned to a production management program based on a thorough, down-to-the-last-bolt estimate written by its blue printerSNAPSHOT
Technicians: 12 in the body and frame department, six in the paint department.
Administrative:
Two owners, an office manager and assistant, a greeter/clerical person, a blue printer, two production managers and four estimators.
Buildings:
One 23,000-sq. ft. building houses the administrative staff and body shop. A contiguous 11,000-sq. ft. building contains the frame and paint department, including three downdraft paint booths. The entire property covers about two acres, with plenty of parking space. Photo above: Rick Koonce, one of the shop
