OEConnection renews commitment to CIECA standards

OEConnection (OEC) recently renewed its commitment to CIECA and the CIECA standards.
OEConnection® (OEC) recently renewed its commitment to CIECA and the CIECA standards. Headquartered in Richfield, Ohio, OEC was established in December 2000 to provide high-quality technology solutions to help automakers and their franchised dealers facilitate the sale of original equipment replacement parts. The company currently employs 800 workers in 14 locations across the globe.

OEC has been a CIECA member since 2003. “CIECA provides a forum for our industry to discuss common issues and develop recommended communication standards for data sharing across multiple input and output systems involved in the repair process,” said Jeff Toom, CollisionLink product manager at OEC. “As a member, we are given early access to information that allows us to be proactive, early implementers of technology and standards and learn from other industry professionals.” Toom said that CIECA standards provide a common format to facilitate the data exchange between shops and their OE trading partners through the company’s CollisionLink application. “CIECA standards facilitate the electronic exchange of information more efficiently and securely,” he said. “These standards allow for data consistency across multiple collision industry applications used on a daily basis.”  For more information about OEConnection, visit www.oeconnection.com.
