Fred Iantorno named vice president, IOT for VeriFacts Automotive

Verifacts Automotive LLC is pleased to announce that Fred Iantorno has joined the company as vice president, IoT (Internet of Things), effective immediately. VeriFacts is an independent third-party provider that verifies and reinforces the implementation of best repair practices within the collision industry.

In his new role, Iantorno will support and expand Verifacts’ Verified Quality (VQ) services, which uses the company’s patented technology for unbiased, consistent measurement and reporting. “Fred Iantorno is a connectivity pioneer in the collision repair industry and we are excited to welcome him to the VeriFacts team,” said Farzam Afshar, CEO of VeriFacts. “Fred’s years of experience working in the industry and his expertise in information technology will be instrumental in helping us research new methods and procedures to grow and augment our VQ services.” The VeriFacts VQ program recognizes shops that demonstrate superior output in all aspects of the repair process. The majority of this time was devoted to the creation and implementation of standards across the industry. He was a founding member of CIECA (Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association) and held the role of executive director for the past 17 years. During this time, he helped the organization become more efficient by improving data flow across all industry segments. In addition, Iantorno is a founding member of the Property & Casualty Insurance group that establishes EDI standards under the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and has been a board member for the Data Interchange Standards Association (DISA) for eight years.
