PCE was formally introduced in 2007. Since that point it has garnered growing recognition and acclaim from independent, multi-shop and dealership collision centers throughout North America. PCE minimizes the non-value added activities which occur in the collision repair process while at the same time maximizing the value seen by key stakeholders in the industry such as the insurers and the vehicle owners. In addition, the efficiencies championed in PCE encourage Sustainability thru reduced waste enabling not only an increase in profitability but also a reduction in the carbon footprint of the shop which provides long range benefits for both the local and global community.
Giarrizzo, CEO of DCR Systems commenting on the expanded agreement said, “DCR has created a turnkey model that is being offered to new and existing collision repair operators and auto dealers. As part of the turnkey model and DCR’s expanding business, it was important that DCR partner with an innovative paint company. AkzoNobel, a leader in many areas in the collision repair industry, has innovative paint technology, business services, and technical training. They were clearly the right partner for DCR Systems in our own quest to bring new ways of thinking and working to this industry. We have been with AkzoNobel every step of the way as PCE has grown in North America and we are looking forward to sharing the same types of experiences as they advance PCE globally.”
AkzoNobel is the largest global paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals. Its portfolio includes brands such as Dulux, Sikkens, International and Eka.
