Jan. 27, 2011 — Automotive part and tool supplier Wurth USA announced Thursday it received ISO certification for its management system after an assessment from Intertek Testing Services.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification requires a company to implement a “quality management system” in addition to providing a high level of customer satisfaction, and strong internal communication and processes.

“This is a very exciting day for our company,” said Michael Krause, president and CEO of Wurth USA, which is based in Ramsey, N.J. “We are proud of this accomplishment for the organization as a whole. Our customers and our employees are our greatest asset and without them, we would not be in business.”

Wurth USA provides fasteners, body shop supplies, hand tools, chemicals and electrical supplies for the automotive, cargo and fleet maintenance industries. Interek, based in Boxborough, Mass., provides quality and safety services including testing, inspection, quality assurance and certification, to a wide range of industries around the world.
