BASF expands lean educational program

Feb. 2, 2010

Feb. 2, 2010--BASF Automotive Refinish has expanded its lean educational program for customers.

The program, which initially launched in 2008, originally offered collision centers an introduction to lean and provided an overview of lean concepts.

BASF’s lean program now offers the following three additional programs:

• Launching Lean is a two-day workshop that demonstrates fundamental concepts and introduces tools necessary to implement Lean in a collision repair center.

• Lean Implementation is a three-day workshop providing a body shop simulation that guides customers in identifying non-value added activities, exploring methods for reducing waste and developing ways to measure success.

• Leading a Lean Culture is a seminar that allows customers to assess individual businesses and establish a plan for Lean implementation.
