March 15, 2013—General Motors (GM) de Mexico has selected OEConnection, a parts e-commerce technology for OEM distribution networks, for its network of dealerships.
GM de Mexico represents the first automotive dealer network in Mexico to use OEConnection's Web-based solutions.
With implementation of OEConnection technologies, GM de Mexico dealerships will have access to tools that enable them to locate, buy, sell and market parts within their dealer network.
An automated backorder referral tool will also be available to help dealers extend their sales reach for in-demand parts or reduce their backorder fill rates to 24 hours.
“We are pleased that GM de Mexico has chosen OEConnection to transform their parts supply chain into a collaborative supply network,” said Chuck Rotuno, president and CEO of OEConnection. “This agreement extends our international footprint and, more importantly, solidifies our relationship with General Motors, with whom we are committed to improving genuine GM replacement parts sales and brand awareness.”
GM dealers in Mexico will use the OEConnection multi-language international platform and have access to Spanish-speaking support representatives.
