DuPont partners with The Body Shop@ on lean business

Sept. 14, 2010

September 14, 2010—DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) announced on Tuesday that it is partnering with The Body Shop@ to incorporate its lean business model in DPC shops.

The Body Shop@’s Star-Link Collision Repair System is a Kaizen-centered lean model that has been in use for 12 years, according to a DPC press release_notes.

“We realized very quickly that DuPont Performance Coatings shared our vision,” said John Sweigart, CEO of The Body Shop@. “We effectively help existing repairers create genuine improvement using a lean model and the answer is not just in the application of lean tools and courses, but through a hands-on, ‘learn by doing’ approach.”

DPC will offer courses at NACE and SEMA featuring what they have learned from The Body Shop@.
