Chief Will Showcase Aluminum Repair Processes, Equipment at NACE

July 14, 2015—Chief Automotive Technologies announced on Monday that it will show attendees of the 2015 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference how to property repair aluminum with its equipment.

NACE will take place July 21-25 at the Cobo Center in Detroit, and Chief will be located in booth No. 516.

“Many collision repair professionals are still in the learning phase with aluminum, and the metal’s use in car and truck bodies continues to evolve,” says Bob Holland, director of collision in North and South America for Chief parent company Vehicle Service Group (VSG). “That’s why Chief’s NACE | CARS 2015 objectives are to educate attendees about aluminum and help them upgrade their shops with the newest advanced aluminum welders and shop tools.”

NACE/CARS attendees can see Chief’s latest aluminum joining equipment in action during live MIG/MAG welding and riveting demos on the trade show floor. The demos will take place in the show’s Demo Zone at the following times:

Thursday, July 23

    12:45 – 1:45 p.m.: MIG/MAG welding and fume extraction

Friday, July 24

    10:30 – 11:30 a.m.: MIG/MAG welding and fume extraction

    1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Riveting

Saturday, July 25

    12:30 – 1:30 p.m.: Riveting

Chief will also lead the “Collision Repair 2015 Design Based Repair” educational session from 8–9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23. There will also be display equipment from Chief in the DHI Equipment booth (No. 1317) and in the Shop of Tomorrow showcase. In addition, Chief will sponsor the MSO Symposium for the second year in a row, which takes place July 23.
