Dec. 14, 2012—Allstate Insurance Co. has made a $95,000 donation to the Collision Repair Education Foundation.
Allstate’s donation is the largest monetary contribution that the Education Foundation has received in 2012. The company has donated nearly $1 million to the Education Foundation since the organization’s inception.
“Automotive design, technology and materials continue to evolve and require knowledgeable technicians who are properly educated regarding safe and effective repair methods,” said Pam Overton, claims vice president for Allstate. “The Collision Repair Education Foundation plays a significant role in the industry by generating awareness and funding for organizations that provide meaningful career opportunities in the field and Allstate is proud to support that mission.”
The Education Foundation said Allstate’s cash donation will be funneled into the Collision Repair Education Campaign fund. The fund is used to provide financial support to secondary and post-secondary collision repair students and schools, including student scholarships, school grants and the annual Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 grant.
“The Collision Repair Education Foundation is able to keep its doors open through our supporters and contributors. Allstate’s donation assists the organization in continuing to provide support to secondary and post-secondary collision school programs, students and instructors,” said Clark Plucinski, executive director of the Education Foundation. “Allstate has nearly surpassed the $1 million total donation mark throughout the Education Foundation’s lifetime and without their support, the Education Foundation couldn’t fuel the future of the collision industry like it has over the years.”
