WIN Takes Control of the Influential Women Award Program

July 18, 2013

July 18, 2013—AkzoNobel has given leadership and oversight of the Most Influential Women (MIW) in the Collision Repair Industry program to the Women's Industry Network (WIN).

AkzoNobel will use its extra resources to focus on the development of its Focus, Innovation and Talent, also referred to as FIT, awards program.

“The MIW program aligns perfectly with WIN’s mission, which is to engage women in the collision repair industry” said Margaret Knell, WIN’s board chair and a MIW winner in 2001.

The MIW was established by AkzoNobel in 1999 and has recognized more than 75 women over the past 14 years. The expansion of the program was the deciding factor in separating it from AkzoNobel’s other programs.

“We are thrilled that AkzoNobel has chosen WIN to carry on this tradition of recognizing the accomplishments of women in our industry and look forward to fostering the program for years to come,” said Knell.
