Sept. 8, 2016—CCC Information Services Inc. has launched a new suite of telematics-enabled claims offerings that the company said will improve and speed up accident notification.
The CCC DRIVE telematics platform includes electronic crash detection, automatically initiated first notice of loss (FNOL), and predictive solutions that will inform real-time decisions by insurers and policyholders, including vehicle repair versus replace, preferred method of inspection and injury triage.

CCC’s telematics platform is able to collect data from any source, whether it be a mobile device, an embedded or connected car. Upon impact, information about driving behavior before the accident and information about the crash itself are instantly run through CCC’s predictive analytics engine, which is powered by insights gathered from millions of claims transactions and over 20 years of injury data. An alert can then be automatically sent from the vehicle to the insurance carrier’s FNOL representative.
In addition to crash notifications, FNOL representatives can receive insights from CCC’s predictive solutions that help determine whether the vehicle is likely to be repaired or if it’s a total, the best appraisal option, if an injury is likely, and if an emergency or tow service should be dispatched.
