Dave’s Auto Body Co., Omaha, Neb., has been selected as the winner of the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC's) 2013 Body Shop Image Award.
Two additional collision repair facilities were also announced as runner ups in this year’s awards program: Cook’s Collision Inc., Walnut Creek, Calif., and Car West Auto Body in San Jose, Calif.
The NABC Body Shop Image Award was created to recognize collision repair facilities that have had a beneficial impact on their communities through building and design improvements.  The award embodies the spirit and mission of the NABC to promote the image of the collision repair industry and become a vital asset to the neighborhood.
According to Kent Seavey, Chair of the NABC Awards program, the selection committee chose Dave’s Auto Body Co., as this year’s winner based on the complete floor-to-ceiling transformation of the facility’s interior and exterior spaces, including improvements such as landscaping around the building and parking areas located on city property.
“We commend Mark Schumacher of Dave’s Auto Body Co., for his vision and goal to create a functional and visually positive physical environment that benefits not only their customers and employees, but the community as well,” Seavey says.
Nomination forms for the NABC’s 2014 Body Shop Image Award will be available online at www.NationalAutoBodyCouncil.org. Any shops currently under renovation or with plans to do so in 2014 should consider capturing “before” and “after” photos of their facility for entry in next year’s Body Shop Image Award competition.
