ArvinMeritor's Mascot Remanufacturing gains major customer contract

A new, long-term, multi-million-dollar supply agreement means big business opportunities for ArvinMeritor, Inc. The company recently entered into a supply agreement with Navistar Parts, and will provide remanufactured transmissions and axle carriers to the company under its ReNEWed® brand. Mascot has produced remanufactured components since 2000 for the ReNEWed program as the exclusive supplier.

The remanufacturing operation maintains a quality reputation for customer service, wholesale-only distribution, and extensive product knowledge in Canada and the U.S.

Last December, ArvinMeritor acquired Mascot Truck Parts Ltd., a major remanufacturer of transmissions, drive axle carriers, steering gears and drivelines, based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

ArvinMeritor maintains its focus on the strategic growth of quality remanufactured components for end-users. The company launched its first remanufactured product in 1983 and has repeatedly emphasized the programs importance to serving customers' aftermarket appetite for dependable remanufactured components.

Mascot's six Canadian remanufacturing locations — including three in Mississauga, Ontario; and one each in Edmonton, Alberta; Moncton, New Brunswick; and Boucherville, Quebec — as well as its network of logistic centers across North America, provide customers with immediate availability of remanufactured products.
