Each site spans 10,300 square feet and sells Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly truck tires along with retreads.
The centers also provide trucking fleets with oil changes and other preventive maintenance; light mechanical services, such as brake, electrical and heating/air conditioning repair; and 24/7 roadside assistance to get trucks back on the road quickly.
“Both of our new Wingfoot Truck Care Center locations have three service bays,” says Clint Schrock, director of on-highway operations at Goodyear.
“And each bay is dedicated to a different type of service,” he explains. “One bay is mainly used for tire replacement and other tire-related services, another is dedicated to light mechanical work, and the third bay has a full-length oil change pit and serves as an express lube bay.”
The Joplin facility is at exit 11A along Interstate 44; the Greenwood site is along I-20 at exit 3. The two outlets are located on Pilot Flying J properties.
“Both of these new Wingfoot Truck Care Centers are situated on a high-traffic shipping route,” says Schrock. “This, combined with the centers’ strategic on-highway positioning at Pilot Flying J locations, gives fleets and owner-operators greater access to our comprehensive array of products, services and solutions.”Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goodyear, has more than 140 sales, service and retread facilities nationwide.
