to Valencia, Spain to attend the German Touring Car
Championship series, known as the DTM.

U.S., Canada and Latin America recently traveled to
Valencia, Spain to attend the German Touring Car
Championship series, known as the DTM.The Partner
Relationship Program provided dealers a front row
seat at Hankook’s hospitality suite at the Ricardo
Tormo Circuito track to get a close-up look at the
company’s performance tires and its racing
sponsorship efforts for this year.
Started in 1984, the DTM began with competitors
racing production-based cars and has evolved into
one of Europe’s largest racing events. Now, with
automobile manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and Audi
currently fielding technologically advanced cars,
and with BMW planning to join the series in 2012,
DTM is considered “the top class of touring car
racing,” the company reports.
As the exclusive tire supplier, Hankook has had a
visible presence at all of this year’s DTM races,
increasing brand awareness and furthering its
commitment to quality and performance. “The research
and design that Hankook has put into the development
of its DTM race tires follows its dedication to
building the highest quality passenger, light truck
and commercial tires for the consumer market,”
according to the company.
The dealers were able to speak with numerous to
executives at Hankook, and while in Spain they got
to stay at the five-star luxury Hotel Las Arenas
Balneario Resort and had the chance to tour some of
Valencia’s most popular attractions, including the
Llardo porcelain Museum, La Barraca Valencian
farmhouse Museum, the Marques de Dos Aguas palace
and La Lonja historic market place.
