Accessories Marketing, Inc., the makers of Slime
tire care products, is conducting a video-
creation contest to find out why your customers
think the Slime line is neat.
“It doesn’t matter whether you use Slime for
your bike, tractor, car, ATV, wheelbarrow,
motorcycle, truck or any other vehicle,” says
says Chris Auerbach, Slime’s general manager. “The contest judges are
just looking for fun, creative, clever, wacky
and wonderful videos showcasing why you use
Slime sealant.”
Entrants need to follow @slimenews on Twitter,
produce a video about why they use Slime and
upload it onto YouTube.
The winner will receive a $500 cash prize; the
deadline to enter is Aug. 1. Interested
contestants can view the submitted entries get
ideas at www.slimehq.com.
“Slime products have received astounding awards,
including the SEMA 2010 Global Media Award, one
of the show’s highest honors,” says Auerbach, citing
the Slime Power Spair and Slime Safety
Spair.
Founded in 1989, the first bottles of Slime
sealant were blended by hand with a power drill
and drywall blade in a garage on the Central
Coast of California.
“In such close proximity to mountain biking
trails and sandy dunes perfect for off-roading,
it didn’t take long for the ‘green slimy stuff,’
as it was often referred to back then, to
develop a following,” according to Auerbach. The company,
which is headquartered in Grover Beach,
Calif.
