General Tire racer Jeff "Ox" Kargola, who died in an April crash in Baja, is being memorialized with a special Ox-branded SuperLite truck that will make its debut at the June 25-26 Lucas Oil Off-Road Race at Miller Motorsports Raceway.

“Jeff had such an amazing attitude and passion for life. The Ox truck should inspire us all to live life to the fullest and make every day count,” says Dana Zamalloa, General’s marketing, public relations and communications manager. “We developed this program as a way for him to still inspire people and keep Ox racing.”

Kargola’s close friend, Ryan “Fluffer” Hagy, will be behind the wheel for the truck’s introduction.

“Driving the Ox truck is such an amazing opportunity for me to celebrate his life and continue his passion for this sport,” says Hagy. “I have been testing the truck at Glen Helen and I am focused on giving this race my all, just like Jeff always did.”

The vehicle will be a sister truck to Kargola’s SuperLite race truck. The design is inspired by Kargola’s new 2011 edition. Kargola’s sponsors – General, Metal Mulisha, Boost Mobile and Method Wheels – will also be sponsoring Hagy’s truck at the race.

The doors and hood will display a Kargola logo that is featured on the Metal Mulisha Jeff “Ox” Kargola Memorial fund shirts; all of the proceeds are going to help support the San Felipe Hospital in Mexico. Kargola’s truck will be on display at General’s booth throughout the Lucas circuit’s season.

The late racer “touched so many people’s lives with his vivacious smile and inspirational attitude towards life. His mission on this earth was not complete and his supporters are committed to keep his ‘Ox’ brand as a symbol of living life to the fullest and continuing to inspire, encourage and help in areas that need our support and attention,” according to Zamalloa. “‘Ox’ is not just a logo, it’s a symbol of no regrets, passion and taking advantage of what life has to offer.”
