Brown, Groh elected to TIA administrative leadership positions

Ken Brown, owner and manager of Alan Brown Tire Center in Newport, Ore., has been elected as the new secretary for the Tire Industry Association (TIA) Board of Directors.

Brown assumes his new role Nov. 1. He will serve a one-year term as secretary. Brown will then proceed as vice president, then president, then past- president; all of the positions are for one-year terms.

Additionally, Chip Huber has resigned from the TIA board and his position as board secretary in order to pursue outside opportunities. Randall Groh, vice president of marketing for Appleton, Wis.-based U.S. Auto Force, was elected to fill in for the remainder of Huber’s term as secretary, which expires Oct. 31.

Current TIA treasurer Tom Formanek was reelected to another three-year term. He is a regional sales manager Stellar Industries, which is headquartered in Garner, Iowa.

“Both Ken and Randy bring a wealth of experience to the role of secretary of TIA’s board, and we are excited that they are expanding their participation by taking on this important position,” says Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

“And, we are very happy that Tom Formanek will continue his excellent leadership managing our finances as our treasurer,” he adds.
